What do you get when a teacher becomes a real estate agent? Someone who thoughtfully guides clients every step of the way.
Michael Rabichow taught English at a large community college for several years before pursuing a career as a REALTOR®. He’s a natural educator who’s supportive, patient and a great listener.
Like any new subject, real estate can be confusing and overwhelming to both buyers and sellers, but Michael approaches his work with a smile and a sense of humor. He always takes the time to help clients understand this complex process, addressing every question that comes up along the way. Michael believes great real estate agents – like great teachers – must be responsive, organized and goal oriented.
Michael is an Oak Park native who still lives in the village with his wife and two children. He loves the strong sense of community that runs through Oak Park, and he’s always excited to introduce new homeowners to the area.
When he’s not working with clients, Michael can be found volunteering at his children’s school, cooking or playing music.
Mike was a really understanding, kind, and supportive realtor. He guided us through each step and was very responsive to our concerns and questions. It was quite stressful at times as my husband and I went through our first home-buying experience, but he was very patient and tried to ease our worries when they arose. Although we hit some confusion surrounding the new laws for closing, we eventually got through the hurdles and are happy with our new home. Mike is also very knowledgeable of Oak Park and its neighboring cities as he is a native to the area so it was really great to be able to pick his brain about the different neighborhoods. I would definitely recommend him.-Maki Sato
Mike was all that I could have asked for in an agent. He was very knowledgeable, prompt, and accommodating. He calmly guided me through the process. Since this was an out of state purchase, everything had to be accomplished in a short period of time. He was more than happy to take on the challenge. Mike went as far as, coordinating a lawyer and contractor to meet my needs. I would highly recommend Michael Rabichow.-John Hennebery
Mike was always there when I needed him….even with little notice. There were many times I needed him to arrange things for me and he always came through. Mike was always prompt for meetings and showings. He ran comparisons for similar properties to aid me in determining what I should offer. –David White
Mike was wonderful to work with during our home search and purchase! He listened, and understood what we were looking for, and took the time to find properties that matched our very specific needs. He was extremely responsive and was fully available for showings, even at the last minute. We were able to see the house we ended up purchasing ASAP which allowed us to get our bid in early. Mike helped us through the whole process, explaining the steps and gave excellent referrals for lenders, inspectors, etc. when needed. We were very glad we had Mike by our side during the home purchase process and would highly recommend!–Emily Kubasak
