Ivona, a native of Poland, entered the real estate profession shortly after moving to the United States in 1991. Having gained experience in two boutique real estate firms, Ivona joined the most prestigious Chicago real estate company Koenig & Strey in 1997. With the introduction of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, Ivona has expanded further into the luxury market eponymous with the company’s brand. Her area of expertise includes single family homes, luxury condominiums, and new construction projects. Ivona has a keen eye for design and an intimate knowledge of the building process having built and rehabbed several homes. She can give her investor clients insight into the ins and outs of owning rental units as a landlord herself for many years. In her free time, Ivona enjoys modern architecture, international travel, fashion and fitness (she has a Boston Marathon medal on the wall of her office). She is also an avid reader, mom to a long line of rescue dogs and loves working in the garden of her West Town home which she shares with her husband Steven and their dog Jack Bear. Ivona serves on the board of the Jackson Chance Foundation, a non-profit organization that assists families of critically ill babies with their transportation needs.
