About Donna Karpavicius

Donna Karpavicius has been a licensed agent since 1986 and received her broker’s license in 1990. Donna launched her real estate career on the northwest side of Chicago but moved her business to Oak Park in 1995. Over the past 30 years Donna has served hundreds of buyers and sellers, and she has developed great working relationships with lenders, attorneys and other professionals who help achieve smooth, successful transactions.

Clients describe Donna as knowledgeable, resourceful and very calm under pressure. Her many years of experience have been complemented with the National Association of REALTORS® e-PRO designation, which is granted to brokers who complete advanced digital marketing training.

Donna works with many clients in the LGBT community, and she has particular expertise assisting out-of-state property owners; Donna arranges painting, new carpeting or whatever they need to prepare their homes for sale. She is originally from Chicago and has lived in McHenry, Forest Park, Brookfield, and Northbrook. Having lived all over the Chicagoland, she is well equipped to work with buyers and sellers throughout the metropolitan area.

Over the years Donna has been very active with the Oak Park Area Gay and Lesbian Association (OPALGA) as a past board member, Gala Host, and Gala Co-Chair. Her hobbies include rooting for the Blackhawks and Cubs, and playing poker whenever she can. She lives with Laura, her partner of 12 years, and their dog, Stanley, a Bichon-Shih Tzu mix. They have a second home in Palm Springs, California, where they hope to retire one day.
