David Evans is a commercial real estate agent who provides consultation services for investors interested in buying and selling apartment buildings in the Chicagoland market. Prior to joining Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, David was a sales associate at a local real estate company with a focus on assisting investors acquire single family and multifamily investment opportunities. As a commercial advisor for BHHS Chicago Realty, David’s primary focus is advising investors on how to best position themselves when buying and selling investment property to minimize risk while increasing their upside.

David is also a multifamily investor, who owns and manages his own investment portfolio; he is always seeking new investment opportunities. Being an investor himself, he can advise his clients when touring a property on which items require minor investments and which ones require a large capital investment to replace or repair.

When assessing an investment opportunity for clients, David first underwrites the property, allowing the buyer to compare/contrast his valuation information to what was provided by the seller’s agent, providing them with a clear picture of the property’s true financial viability. He also researches the property through public data sites to verify that there are no pending foreclosures, liens or building violations on the property. David also advises his clients on the area of interest’s economic viability, providing neighborhood vacancy data, demographics, and the socioeconomic makeup of the area as well.

David is a member of the Southside Builder’s Association (SBA), the Southside Community Investor’s Association (SSCIA) and Community Investment Corporation (CIC).
