As the Vice President, Director of Facilities Management for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago, Darla draws upon her distinguished and fulfilling career and involvement in nearly every facet of real estate. Sales management experience with several leading Chicago-based and New England real estate companies, including Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago North Shore offices, have given her a keen understanding of the business and an appreciation for the personal aspects of every deal.

Darla's warmth and caring go hand-in-hand with her professionalism and contribute to the high level of customer satisfaction earning her the respect of her peers, agents and clients. A strong devotion to educating and keeping agents informed and educated has led her to many roles within the company. 

Darla Terrell brings a keen understanding of how agents and managers relate to office changes and operational issues to this key role. Her breadth of experience in real estate includes branch management, industry advocacy, agent recruiting & development, and various relocation roles. She has been involved with office relocations and build-outs, and has a deep understanding of construction issues and processes, and the day to day maintenance issues in our offices.

Darla is a tireless advocate for the profession, devoting her time and considerable skills to industry groups and legislative education. She is a former Director for the North Shore Barrington Association of Realtors and the Chairman of the Board in 2010 and chosen by her peers in 2011 as the  "Realtor of the Year".

In addition to her considerable management experience, Darla has also been a consultant to various real estate companies and developers focusing on condominiums, home sites, multi-unit developments and a four-season resort. Darla's engagements in her community include membership in the Deerfield Chamber of Commerce and an advocate and supporter for Little City Arts Foundation, K9s 4U Dog Rescue, & Joy! Lutheran Church. She and her husband John have two daughters Caitlyn and Jaclyn. When family and business allow Darla enjoys family time, biking, gardening, yoga, walking & training their dog Trinie, and reading.
